Closed Testing for App Agencies
A monthly partnership for agencies shipping Android apps for clients: multiple apps per month, the same process for every app, and one point of contact.
If you build Android apps for clients, you already know the step that slows a launch down. A new personal developer account on Google Play must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 continuous days before it can apply for production access. For one app that is a chore. For several client apps a month it becomes a recurring job: finding testers, keeping them active, and chasing them for feedback, again and again.
A monthly partnership
TestersFourteen works with agencies on a monthly basis. You send us multiple client apps per month, and we run the same closed testing process for each one. Terms are agreed per month and set around the number of apps you plan to send, so you are not negotiating from scratch every time a client account needs its 14 days.
The same process for every app
Every app goes through the same four steps, whether it is your first client this month or your fifth:
- Link. You share the app's closed testing opt-in link and package name.
- Testers. We send back the tester list for you or your client to add in Play Console. Our testers opt in and install the app on their own devices.
- 14 days. Testers open and use the app every day, so the test stays active for 14 continuous days.
- Report. On day 14 you get a report for that app, with feedback, screenshots and a summary that helps when your client applies for production access.
Because the process does not change from app to app, you can plan client launches around it and tell clients clearly what happens during their two weeks.
One point of contact
You deal with one point of contact for all of your apps. Tester lists, status questions and day-14 reports come through the same person, so you are not explaining your setup again for every new client.
What your team does not have to do
- Your developers do not test other developers' apps to earn testers back.
- Your team does not have to recruit 12 people for every client account.
- You do not have to keep volunteers active by hand for 14 days.
What we do not do
We do not decide whether an app gets production access. Google makes that decision for every account. Our testers are real people using their own Android devices and Google accounts, with no emulators, no bots and no fake reviews. What we deliver is real engagement during the test and a report your client can use in their application.
Getting started
Email us with roughly how many client apps you expect to send each month, and we will reply with monthly terms. When the first app is ready, send its opt-in link and package name and the 14 days can begin.
